About I Maratón Imperial de Toledo
The I Imperial Marathon of Toledo marks the launch of the city's first-ever marathon, a 42.195 km race designed to showcase the extraordinary heritage of the Imperial City. With thousands of runners expected, it aims to become one of Spain's premier marathon events.
The course passes many of Toledo's most iconic landmarks, including the Tagus River, the Alcázar, the Cathedral and historic neighborhoods recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Besides the individual marathon, runners can also participate in pairs or 4 × 10.5 km relay teams, making the event accessible to a wide range of participants.
The I Imperial Marathon of Toledo aims to establish Toledo among Europe's great marathon destinations. Taking part means running through centuries of history, spectacular monuments and one of Spain's most remarkable historic cities.
