What is the route of the Prague International Marathon by Vodafone 2027

Map showing the race route

The Vodafone Prague Marathon starts and finishes at Old Town Square (Staroměstské náměstí), the historic heart of Prague, heading out along the elegant Pařížská street and passing Wallenstein Palace and Prague Castle within the first two kilometres. Shortly after, the race crosses the iconic Charles Bridge, one of the most photographed moments of the whole event.

The route continues past the Rudolfinum on the banks of the Vltava River and heads into the Karlín district, the city's more modern face, around kilometre 9. Around kilometre 13, the course returns once more to Old Town Square before taking Celetná street, part of the historic Royal Route, and passing beneath the Powder Tower.

The second half of the route crosses Wenceslas Square, the National Theatre and the Dancing House, one of the most distinctive buildings in Prague's contemporary architecture, before crossing the Nusle Bridge around kilometre 18 and climbing up to Vyšehrad fortress around kilometre 21.

In the closing stretch, the race crosses the Vltava once more via the Legion Bridge, near kilometre 31, mixing cobblestones from the old town with modern paved sections, before returning a final time to Old Town Square to cross the finish line, on a mostly flat course with gentle undulations.
